Erotica

Erotica is art, literature or photography that deals substantively with subject matter that is erotic or sexually stimulating. As Wikipedia frames the common distinction, pornography's objective is the graphic depiction of explicit scenes, while erotica seeks to tell a story that involves sexual themes, with more plausible depictions of sexuality; critics disagree about where, or whether, the line falls. Erotic literature runs from ancient verse by Sappho, Catullus and Ovid to the novel Fanny Hill (1748), and modern erotic literature is a commercial genre in its own right.
